We have been photographing the Coronado High School Dance Concerts for over 5 years now. We got started with our daughter being in high school. It’s time for the Spring Dance Concert which is titled “Art In Motion” this year.
It is well done and very enjoyable to watch. We haven’t attended other dance concerts in the local area, but one of the things that I think is somewhat unique to Coronado is their male dance team. They are very good and always enjoyable (if you can stand the screaming girls).
The concert runs again tonight (Friday) and tomorrow night (Saturday). We got a little out of control last night with the number of pictures and haven’t had time to even go through all of them. I shot around 2,000 and will probably end up with half of that after weeding out the misfires and blurry images. We don’t use a flash so as not to disturb the dances and preserve the lighting effects on the stage. That means that we are pushing the limits of the camera and frequently end up with a large number of unusable images.
